The Nurse Site Manager will provide oversight and leadership for Adult Medicine and Behavioral Health services. The Nurse Site Manager will work closely with the Director of Clinical Operations, Providers and other professional and ancillary staff to provide effective leadership for the clinical team and to ensure that the department consistently provides high quality care with positive patient outcomes. He/She must have a strong nursing clinical background and be able to make decisions based on the situational presentation of patients and/or issues affecting patient care and flow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership per the organizational chart to ensure the effective coordination and implementation of Adult Medicine and Behavioral Health services.
  • Provides triage decision making where needed.
  • Provides supervision to assigned team members, including but not limited to the following areas:

o Maintaining inventory, ordering and proper storage for all vaccines.

o Entering all immunization records into the electronic medical record and
the remote immunization database, as required.

o Coordinating ordering of medications and medical supplies.

o Ensuring appropriate follow up appointments are scheduled.

o Obtaining lab specimens on patients.

o Making patient referral appointments.

o Responding to all patient telephone calls appropriately.

o Preparation and cleanliness of patient rooms.

o Assisting with preparation and/or participation in community outreach
events

  • Covers the clinical schedule when needed due to staff absences/shortages.
  • Administers skilled nursing care to patients according to their physical and emotional needs and in accordance with the medical plan of care to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the health center as appropriate.
  • Ensures proper storage, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of medications and other medical supplies/equipment per regulatory requirements.
  • Fosters a patient-centered environment that focuses on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes/monitoring.
  • Ensures compliance with approved methods and team responsibilities within patient-centered teams (appointment templates, team huddles….)
  • Assists in monitoring and improving the quality of services provided.
  • Participates with leadership team to provide timely solutions for all identified access/service problems and patient complaints.
  • Works with Director of Clinical Operations to implement new initiatives and grant opportunities, and trains employees as needed to accomplish project goals.
  • Acts as or assigns a preceptor for student rotations of clinical support staff, such as nurses and medical assistants.
  • Promotes a calm and effective work environment by maintaining appropriate emotional control and displaying appropriate behavior at all times.
  • Enables team to achieve optimal results by providing information, resources, encouragement and support.
  • Builds a team, resolves conflicts and facilitates group interaction both within the team and with cross-departmental teams.
  • Facilitates assigned staff time and attendance to include requests for time off and minimizing overtime.
  • Assists in hiring, orientation and training and development of assigned staff.
  • Provides coaching and counseling utilizing Tandem Health-approved performance feedback tools and methods.
  • Maintains a strong focus on ensuring that all work efforts are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Maintains a current license as a Registered Nurse with the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ clinical experience required with a minimum of two (2) years of leadership and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,577.00 - $95,000.00 per year
