Nurse Practitioner -Psych Job at AKT HEALTHCARE INC
An ideal Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing multiple clients and their individual needs. Their duties include meeting with clients to discuss medication management and to discuss recent successes or setbacks regard their mental illnesses, developing treatment plans for clients.
As required by MD behavioral health administration, Psychiatric Nurse practitioner will work directly with patients, families and other clinical team need to address patient concerns and goals while maintaining constant communication with the patient as well as their counsellors. Develop care plans for all individuals and link individuals with community resources. Supervise individual counsellors and serve as individual advocate at all levels. Assist the program, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Required qualifications:
A successful Psychiatrics Nurse practitioner will have strong communication skills, both to provide understandable support and plans to patients and their families and to listen carefully to understand their issues. They must be patient when talking to patients and their families and know how to calm them down and solve their problems. It is important to have empathy so they can show the patient they understand their issue and are working to help them. Here are several other skills and qualifications a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner should have:
Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nurse practitioner or any other mental health degrees.
Valid and current license.
Excellent listening and communication skills required.
Ability to make psychosocial assessments and develop and implement care plans required.

Pay: $121,785.00 - $123,500.00 per year
