The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator will be a full-time, permanent employee for a top-ranked health system known for their acute care hospitals, speciality programs, teaching hospitals, outpatient clinics, and physician practices across the region. The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator will join an innovative team, working at a community hospital in Maryland, which offers both inpatient and outpatient services across an array of specialities, including behavioral and mental health, cardiology, emergency medicine, psychiatric emergency services, pediatric team, materiality services, cancer care, pulmonary services, radiology and imaging, internal medicine, and more. The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator will oversee nursing education for the Behavioral and Mental Health Services department, including new-hire orientation, training, and managing the preceptor program. The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator will also update policy procedures, ensure regulatory compliance, and cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator should have previous inpatient behavioral or psychiatric services experience. The Inpatient Psychiatry Nursing Educator must be a seasoned nurse holding their Registered Nurse License, ideally holding their MSN.
