NTSC Goalkeeper Coach

Job Summary

In general, Employee will be responsible for delivery and oversight of training the NTSC Goalkeepers to achieve Company’s goal of winning MLS Next Pro Championships and fielding a team that consistently competes for such championships as well as developing players to maximize their potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Field Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for effectively planning, delivering and executing all goalkeeper training sessions in line with the club philosophy and coaching methodology to prepare all goalkeepers in the squad for each coming match and ongoing development.
  • Serve as a leader and role model to all players, by living the NTSC values of humility, community and ambition and emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, being respectful, polite and considerate.
  • Execute daily coaching sessions and matches where needed.
  • Undertake all reasonable tasks assigned by NTSC Head Coach.
  • Work closely with FC Dallas 1st team staff and goalkeeper coach to ensure cohesion throughout the organization.
  • Individualize programs, identifying needs to progress the development of top talents.
  • Assist with executing club trials and reviewing trial players as needed.

Off-Field Responsibilities:
  • Plan training sessions using NTSC session plan on each day of training.
  • Maintain player attendance records.
  • Ensure compliance with all MLS homegrown rules.
  • Support administration of player performance data.
  • Help maintain equipment inventory, and organize equipment needs for all training sessions and matches.
  • Assist in providing formal(written) player reviews bi-annually to players.
  • Assist in providing match reports regarding player performance, grades, minutes played.
  • Continuously look for opportunities and ideas to improve operations and processes in the goalkeeper coaching department.
  • Attend team/staff meetings.
  • Travel with NTSC teams as required; May be asked to drive NTSC vehicles.
  • Ensure that club integrity and club code of conduct is maintained by developmental players, always.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience playing or coaching on college or professional academy soccer level is strongly preferred.
  • MLS Experience highly desired
  • Understanding of MLS ecosystem and ability to work closely with MLS first team and academy staff
  • US Soccer B License preferred or equal playing experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact and convey information to a variety of stakeholders, including NTSC staff, players, and player families.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience building presentations and presenting to groups.
  • Proven dedication to personal development and self-improvement.
  • A passion for soccer and developing youth players.
  • Proactive with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Professional and polite in all interactions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to be adaptable to situations.
  • Driven and energetic.
  • A passion for NTSC
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) or multi-lingual preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position will work in-person at Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be fully vaccinated at the time of hire and follow all club and league COVID-19 protocols.
  • Must reside within DFW area upon date of hire.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to drive Academy passenger van when needed.
  • Travel estimated to be 15%
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • This position functions primarily in an outdoor environment.
