Job Summary: NSC Administrative Assistant will be responsible for obtaining trailing documents as well as answering and triaging phone calls.

Job Level: This position is entry level with layers of growth potential. WE believe in developing you into a career with WE!

Essential Job functions:

  • Answer office in-bound calls and route to appropriate department/AO Office or in-house producer
  • Gather information pertaining to quote from prospect
  • Make out-bound calls to potential lead prospects
  • Aid in day-to-day office procedures and processes
  • Manage all new sale documents provided by producers and submit them to appropriate departments
  • Solicit new business cross sell leads from current clients
  • Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate process of transactions adhering to the standard operating procedures
  • Accurately document all transactions
  • Cooperate purposefully in coaching conversations, side-by-side observations, and goal setting to meet individual and department standards
  • Strong ethical values and integrity
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Work overtime as needed and adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and maneuver multiple carrier sites, uploading documents accurately and interpret underwriting criteria from the carrier
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in written form. This includes the ability to clearly articulate, interpret and summarize information to present to a customer or carrier
  • Excellent attention to detail. The ability to produce high quantity without substituting quality
  • Must have proven reliability and dependability
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite
  • Applied Epic software knowledge preferred
  • 4-40 Insurance license encouraged.

Language Ability:

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Math Ability:

The ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.

Reasoning Ability:

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Computer Technical Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Internet browser applications. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment, including scanner, copier, fax machine, and calculator.

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
