Full-time and part-time Security Officers are needed to provide first-class customer service to a first-class company in the Coppell, TX area, which is a northern suburb of Dallas. Duties include reception-desk access control and indoor foot patrols for a high-tech research company. It is a very professional and interesting environment, with friendly people. We are looking for experienced security officers with an outgoing, friendly demeanor who have a current Texas Guard Card. We have all shifts available for weekends and 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am shifts available Monday-Friday.

REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• No history of felonies or other serious criminal convictions

• Willing to participate in the pre-employment process, including a drug screen

• Must be articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Have the ability to maintain strict attendance and punctuality standards
• Have a neat and professional appearance
• Have the ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively
• Have good near/far eyesight (corrected)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Walking casually and standing for 1 hour without rest

PREFERRED:

• Previous customer service experience is a plus

JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Conducting indoor foot patrol tours and reception-desk access control

• Identifying and reporting security breaches, safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual/suspicious circumstances

• Generating various written reports and logs

• Responding to emergencies and security incidents

• $13.00 - $15.50 /hr depending upon experience and training
