The Role

Reporting to the Director, Technical Operations, you will be responsible for operating, configuring, and maintaining Par Pacific’s enterprise network resolving issues that may arise to maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the overall Technology infrastructure. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

• 
  Install, configure, maintain, and resolve issues across Par Pacific’s Network including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, and other networking equipment and services.
• Managing network security infrastructure, proxies, web filters, ACLs, and network access control.
• Provide support to end-users and support Technical Operations staff in problem resolution
• Monitor and ensure the uptime and maximum performance of the network.
• Document and perform patching and upgrades on network infrastructure
• Implement improvements within Par Pacific’s infrastructure, develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials.

The Opportunity

• The role will focus on designing and managing Par Pacific’s network infrastructure across all assets.

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Sr. Network Engineer opportunity, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field preferred.
• Seven years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
• Technical Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, PCCSA, PCNSA, and PCNSE)
• Experience within a 24/7 Manufacturing environment and remote offices.
• Extensive network architecting experience with Palo Alto, and Cisco networking (Juniper a plus), other WAN technologies and including SD-WAN
• Applied knowledge of high availability networking infrastructure designs and methodologies
• Applied knowledge of systems monitoring and incident handling, capacity planning and performance tuning
• Familiar with SOX, PCI-DSS, regulatory compliance. Understanding and experience with DHS, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing
