We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our client's network infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, configures, and installs network hardware in support of customer requirements.
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, switches, gateways, etc.
• Proposes solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
• Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems.
• Provide specific detailed information for network hardware and software selection, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conduct testing of network design.
• Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, deep packet inspection analysis, application packet analysis, switches (Nexus and Catalyst), and proxies (Reverse and Forward),etc.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Skills

• Must be familiar with Arista Networks, Extreme Networks, Aruba Networks, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Detailed oriented and organized
• Excellent client relationship skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn new and unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resources
• Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines for deliverables
• Some Travel (approximate 25%)
