We are looking for a Network Administrator to join the Birchwood Foods family. In this role, you will play a supporting role on our IT team by maintaining, monitoring, administering and repairing information/communication technology, hardware/software equipment, analyzing customer requests for service, and maintenance calls in the assigned area. You will be leading multiple projects and reporting directly to Director of IT.

Responsibilities include:

Perform Systems Analysis/Data base Design/Programming and Training:

• Configure network hardware such as servers, switches, printers and end user devices.
• Manage Servers and Operating systems.
• Deploy and update company-wide software.
• Implement security measures.
• Purpose new network design considerations to Systems Analyst 1 and Director of IT to streamline the flow of information.
• Provide technical training, guidance, and resource support for end users and Departmental staff.
• Analyze computer systems networks to ensure effectiveness and efficiency; reviews connectivity request to determine requirements for installation or modification.
• Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as appropriate to project requirements.
• Installs and maintains company phone and computer systems.
• Orders Computer hardware and software and telephone equipment.
• Deals with outside technical support vendors.
• Assist with Tech Support Help desk when needed.

Our ideal candidate will bring the following to this role:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education
• 3 to 5 years Previous Information Technology Field Experience + Proven Performance
• Functional knowledge of network topologies, network security, telephony, VPNs, Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Server.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to balance numerous priorities in a fast paced environment
• Enthusiasm and a Positive Attitude!
