The Multimedia Developer/Graphic Artist is responsible for providing a modern streamlined approach to the delivery of quality online courseware with an emphasis in web-based delivery following SCORM standards and compliance.
Essential Multimedia Duties of the Position
- Designs and coordinates course features, interactions, navigational tools, and content with Instructional Designer.
- Supports the conversion of traditional classroom training and educational material or new storyboards into instructionally sound, interactive, web-based training.
- Ensures all developed work is in compliance with standards and requirements (e.g., SCORM) and security policies and procedures.
- Uses animation, audio, video, and other creative techniques to develop interactive training systems.
- Develops innovative user involvement techniques to enhance information transfer.
- Research & incorporate text, audio, and video data drawn from a wide range of sources in support of this effort
- Performs content presentation improvements and upgrades
- Reviews and edits all content for consistency in style, language, and reusable content.
- Participates in meetings with staff members to discuss products, site maintenance, future planning, modifications, and enhancements.
- Advises on the latest technical advances in online e-Learning technology.
- All other duties assigned.
The Multimedia Developer/Graphic Artist creates visual text and imagery concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports, etc. Graphic Designers design (or create) graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, logos, or imagery for print and digital uses including banner ads, social media posts, website graphics, magazine advertorials, etc.
Essential Graphic Artist Duties of the Position
- Provide graphic artist support as needed.
- Design and manage the corporate websites
- Design, produce and procure printing for brochures, flyers, etc.
- Supports day-to-day operations, participating as needed in special department projects.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a field related to graphic design, computer science, or combination thereof, or minimum 3 years equivalent experience in e-Learning graphical and multimedia design.
- Experience working with web-based multimedia development for online courses and usage.
- Experience developing with graphical development tools providing examples of work/projects created.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and troubleshooting SCORM compliance issues.
- Demonstrate experience using the following programs: Articulate 360, Rise 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Products.
- Demonstrate experience working independently to research and leverage industry, government, and academia, to develop innovative, state-of-the-art information technology.
