Norris Cylinder Company (a division of TriMas Corporation) is seeking individuals for our position of Multicraft Maintenace Technician for its Longview, Texas manufacturing plant. Norris Cylinder manufactures quality high-pressure steel and acetylene cylinders and is the only steel cylinder manufacturer in North America. Individuals for this position will perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the production, inspection, and distribution of our products and services. Norris Cylinder operates with a promote from within policy for individuals that wish to grow with us. In this role you will:

• Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment ranging from PLC controlled hydraulic presses, CNC lathes and mills to all supporting equipment including robots and conveyors that is used in the production and certification of high-pressure seamless gas and low-pressure acetylene cylinders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical (480V 3phase), PLC's and robots.
• Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, hydraulic pumps, valves, and conveyors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on all machines and equipment.
• Adhere to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Comply with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
• Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings, which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
• Refer to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function, or assignment before commencing work.
• Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function, or assignment.

• Assure that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience working with PLC/Electrical Controls, Robotics, and Electrical.

• Technical Certification in PLC/Electrical Controls, Robotics, and Electrical -preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• SMAW, GMAW and GTAW abilities a plus
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
• Must have own tools
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• 2nd shift position after training
