What You'll Do:

• Directs team to ensure delivery of operational excellence, world class service, and efficiency which results in consistently delivering exceptional service experiences for our clients.
• Ensure that regulatory compliance, data integrity, quality control, and client standards are met including but not limited to auditing test procedures, documentation, QA meetings regarding laboratory investigations, client follow up and corrective action.
• Builds, develops, and manages laboratory team and oversees associates regarding staffing needs, project management, training, professional growth, associate behavior, corrective action, succession planning, work scheduling, and compensation administration
• Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required
• Execute a wide variety of established molecular biology techniques including: (PCR, Western Blotting, DNA sequencing, biochemical assays, NGS, Protein extractions, etc.)
• Perform various cell culture techniques
• Basic data interpretation & troubleshooting/optimization
• Data presentation during regular staff meetings

What You’ll Need:

• Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biology or related discipline with 2+ years demonstrated molecular biology preferably in a lab environment
• 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience with direct reports implementing coaching, mentoring and corrective actions
• 2+ years experience in a client-facing position
• Must be able to support the efforts of a young and enthusiastic work force while maintaining the necessary institutional controls to ensure the highest quality output of data while consistently creating exceptional client experiences.
• Practical experience in lab operations (optimization & development)
• Experience in an FDA regulated environment is preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading people and operations in an Analytical environment is required.
• Previous experience in the consumer products, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and/or food and beverage industries is preferred.
• Exceptional problem solving and conceptual thinking.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to summarize and prioritize highly complex projects and activities.
