NEW BEDFORD, MA- We are immediately looking to onboard a driven and passionate Assistant Program Director to provide administrative and clinical oversight to our Southern Coast Adult & Youth Mobile Crisis program! This individual will work out of the New Bedford, MA office, but will oversee operations for both the New Bedford and Plymouth mobile crisis departments.

SIGN-ON BONUS: $3000 (HALF IN YOUR FIRST PAYCHECK; HALF AFTER 90 DAYS)

Qualifications:

  • A completed Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Clinical Psychology or other clinical licensure eligible degree program is required
  • Must be independently licensed with an LICSW or LMHC in the state of Massachusetts with three years of full-time or the equivalent part-time post licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably working with adults
  • Must also have one to two years of supervisory or program management experience
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed with evening hours included
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation as travel may be required to provide services in different settings and to attend agency meetings, events, and trainings

Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are not meant to be all inclusive and may be adjusted to meet the agency’s needs.

  • Directs and oversees with assistance from the program director all personnel activities in the AMCI/YMCI Program, specializing in YMCI
  • Ensures adherence to the AMCI/YMCI program specifications
  • This position will provide additional support to all 3 locations (Fall River, New Bedford & Plymouth) with emphasis on mobile and youth
  • Works with the Southern Coast Program Director in supporting and managing the centralized call center
  • Works in conjunction with the Human Resource Director for all hiring and disciplinary action of employees
  • Provides programmatic supervision and clinical supervision when appropriate
  • Works with the Southern coast AMCI/YMCI Program Director to develop the program budget and manages within the fiscal year budget
  • Maintains contact with program related staff from contracting and other funding sources
  • Collects and reports data critical to operation of the YMCI/AMCI Program
  • Represents program at key meetings internal and external to the agency
  • Participates as a member of the site management team
  • Shares administrator on-call duties with staff identified in collaboration with the Directors and Associate VP of Acute Care Services
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed with evening hours included
  • Promote high staff morale and team atmosphere within the department
