Metal Finisher / Polisher
Custom metal enclosure manufacturer in Ashippun, WI seeking to hire a hard-working individual for a full-time position. Responsible for grinding and finishing mild and stainless-steel enclosures/cabinets after they have been welded. Utilize hand held power tools to grind down welds to a smooth finish. Operate stationary machinery to polish/grain/blend stainless steel to a #4 finish.
Monday-Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Saturday Overtime available at peak times.
Job Responsibilities:
Use material handling equipment to position enclosures such as pallet jacks, overhead crane, and tables.
Operate hand held power grinder to smooth welds.
Operate stroke sanding table to polish and grain stainless steel to a #4 finish.
Set up and perform general cleaning of work station at end of each shift.
Communicate with welding department to facilitate efficient workflow.
Solve practical problems using reasoning and decision-making skills to ensure quality work.
May be asked to perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED
1+ years of metal finishing experience preferred.
Steel toe shoes required.
Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 35 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds using team lifting techniques on an occasional basis.
Must have time management skills to meet production demands.
Compensation:
