The Director is responsible for administering the daily operations of the community based Mental Health services and ensuring effective and quality service delivery through sufficient staffing, training and supervision. He/she must have experience and knowledge of the children’s mental health system and NYS OMH to provide the programmatic and fiscal oversight needed to ensure sustainability and growth of all programs/services under his/her purview and collaborate with AVP and other directors to develop strategies to increase synergies amongst programs.

Primary Responsibilities include:

· Supervise, support, and evaluate managerial staff and enforce performance standards of accountability.

· Establish and maintain effective relationships with County, Regional and State representatives, and Managed Care Organizations to ensure timely and successful service authorizations for HCBS and CFTSS.

· Oversee and ensure the delivery of high quality, prompt and efficient services in accordance with funding, agency and division missions, values, ethics, policy and procedures.

· Model, train and ensure adherence to strength-based and individualized care philosophies and the principles of youth-guided and family-driven services.

· Assist with budgetary development and management including Accounts Receivable involvement, working closely with the Fiscal Department, and making personnel and OTPS modifications using a proactive, strategic, and creative approach to achieve and/or maintain fiscal viability.

· Optimize service delivery and reimbursement through capacity maintenance, productivity enforcement, and staff retention strategies including a focus on morale, team building and growth and advancement opportunities.

· Implement and manage systems to maximize operational effectiveness and bolster programmatic sustainability.

· Apply quantitative methods of data collection and analysis for reports and effective oversight and implement proactive action plans.

· Maintain high standards of professional ethics and personal conduct.

· Employ creative strategies to meet consumer needs in contract restricted programs.

· Monitor Electronic Health Record utilization and onboarding, fiscal cumulative reports and all aspects of the program’s billing processes.

· Participate in county, regional, and statewide initiatives on children’s mental health and family support.

Qualifications and Requirements include:

· Master's Degree in the Human services field.

· LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT or LCSW required. SIFI and LCSW preferred.

· Minimum 5 years’ of supervisory experience and experience working with children and families with mental health diagnoses preferred..

· Experience working in Medicaid billable programs preferred.

· Valid NYS driver’s license with a safe and responsible driving history.

· Intermediate computer skills.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
