OUR MEDICATION TECHNICIAN POSITION
The primary function of this position is to partner with the nurses to provide nursing care and related services for all personal care residents in compliance with the standards and regulations that govern the facility. Med Techs administer and document medications in accordance with the PA Department of Human Services Medication Administration Training Program, state regulations and facility policies and procedures. Our Med Techs ensure high-quality care for our residents in personal care and memory care.

We currently have FULL TIME and PART TIME Med Tech positions on the EVENING (3PM to 11PM) and NIGHT (11PM to 7AM) shifts.

TOP AREAS OF FOCUS FOR OUR MED TECHs

• Administer and document medications in accordance with regulations and policies / procedures.
• Provide person-centered care for our residents and assist them in all activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, nutritional needs, transferring, continence and oral hygiene.
• Observe and engage with residents. Report changes to the nurse on duty.
• Consistently use proper infection control techniques.
• Complete documentation regarding resident care provided.
• Maintain a professional, customer-oriented demeanor and work cooperatively with co-workers and peers.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Receives supervision from and reports to the Director of Resident Care Services. Also, receives day-to-day guidance and supervision from LPN Supervisors.

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Proof of high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must have completed and be able to share documentation of completion of PA Department of Human Services Medication Administration Training.
