Medical Office Receptionist Job at Humboldt Audiology, PC
About us
Humboldt Audiology is a busy private-practice health-care clinic specializing in hearing care for the community of Eureka and surrounding areas.
We are seeking a full-time patient care coordinator to staff our front office. We offer a competitive hourly wage, benefits, and a friendly, professional atmosphere with great culture.
Experience is important, but personality traits and attitude are the number one priority. If this is how your co-workers and friends would describe you, we’d like to meet you:
- Friendly, warm, a people person – with the ability to convey that warmth, even on the telephone.
- Patient, compassionate, helpful – we serve predominantly elderly patients.
- Even tempered, calm, pleasant, unflappable. Has the ability to turn a frown into a smile.
- Committed, dedicated, a great teammate, pitches in without being asked.
- Accurate, detailed oriented, organized, with high standards for a job well done.
- Accepts responsibility, always finds a constructive way to solve a problem.
- Coachable, accepts feedback with a positive attitude. Always looks for ways to grow and improve.
- Consistent punctual and reliable attendance.
These statements also describe the people you’ll be working with in our offices, and we’re committed to maintaining that culture.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Warmly greeting patients and other visitors.
- Answering phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Converting calls into scheduled appointments.
- Entering and updating all patient information including handling invoices, receiving funds and processing payments.
- Tracking incoming and outgoing medical referrals.
- Managing a complex schedule for three busy providers.
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with patients, vendors, colleagues, etc.
This isn’t just a job: it’s a commitment to a team serving a real purpose by helping people stay connected with their loved ones. If that appeals to you, and the above description made you say “Hey! That’s me!”, then we’d love to talk.
