Crown Staffing is searching for a Medical Billing and Authorization Specialist for a Home Health Company in New Albany, OH 43054. As a Medical Billing and Authorization Specialist, you will be responsible for providing efficient office support, teamwork, and medical billing and authorization/referrals. This is a Part-Time position in New Albany. The work days are flexible but will require two- 8 hour days throughout the week.

Medical Billing/ Authorization Specialist Job Details

Part-time, no weekends, 2 flexible days per week | 8:30-5:00pm | $18.00/hour

• No evenings, weekends, or major holidays.

About the Medical Billing/Authorization Specialist Role

As a Medical Billing/Authorization Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

• Verifying authorizations
• Verifying patient information
• Verifying copays and insurance balances
• Contacting insurance companies
• Entering coding information as needed
• Filing/faxing/mailing billing notices
• Verifying deductibles, co-insurance and secondary insurances
• Other duties as assigned.

Medical Billing/ Authorization Specialist Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior medical office experience required, at least one year
• Billing and authorization/referrals experience required
• Excel in a face pace office setting
• Must have proficient computer skills.
