Richard Bland College (RBC) is a two-year, residential, liberal arts transfer institution that focuses on preparing students for transfer to highly-ranked colleges and universities. The College is a hidden gem located outside the Tri-Cities region—and its rural setting featuring 750+ acres of wetlands, bucolic forest, and the state’s oldest and largest pecan grove.
Richard Bland College Marketing and Communications Office is seeking a part-time Branding and Marketing Media Specialist. Under the supervision of the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer this position will:
Richard Bland College Marketing and Communications Office is seeking a part-time Branding and Marketing Media Specialist. Under the supervision of the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer this position will:
- Design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals
- Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts)
- Manage end-to-end digital projects
- Establish our web presence to boost brand awareness
- Maintain a strong online company voice through social media
- Liaise with Marketing, Sales and Product development teams to ensure brand consistency
- Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability
- Monitor Return on Investments (ROIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Stay up-to-date with digital media developments
- Maintain RBC website (WordPress – training available with our webmaster)
- Write press releases for the college
- Create photoshop and InDesign graphics for internal RBC campus communications
- Take official photographs for the college
- Work with social media specialist on creating content
This position is not eligible for telework. The salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Considerable experience as a Digital media specialist or Digital Marketing Manager
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media editing software
- Extensive experience with visual communication principles
- Working knowledge of web design and content management systems
- Excellent analytical and project management skills
- Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital media or relevant field
- Additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus
- Candidate will work on campus inside the offices of Creative Services Group at RBC — housed within the Office of the President.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a college or University setting.
