Located in Fayetteville, Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehabilitation was the first licensed nursing home in North Carolina and has a long tradition of providing quality care to our residents. Team Member Needed

We are currently seeking an energetic and dynamic Nurse to work in our Interdisciplinary / MDS team.

The MDS Assistant is responsible for timely and accurate completion, coordination, recording, updating, and monitoring of all Minimum Data Set (MDS) documentation required by state and other appropriate authorities.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a resident-centered environment devoted to providing the highest quality healthcare to each and every resident.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide clinical and administrative support to the MDS Coordinator
• Regulate and maintain the MDS/PPS program and completion schedule
• Develop and coordinate appropriate nursing care plans for all residents
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care plans, and update MDS/RAI process within completion guidelines
• Works in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess the needs of the resident
• Monitors MDS and care plan documentation for all residents. Ensures documentation is present in the medical record to support MDS coding.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Active and unencumbered NC License as an RN
• Prior MDS and Case Mix experience is preferred.
• Proficient user of computer – Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
• Experience with Electronic Health Records, AHT Preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to organize and prioritize
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented
