Great opportunity at Moses Lake Community Health Center to work with expectant moms and babies in a health care setting. Full time Behavioral Health Consultant position is now available in our Maternal Support Services Program. The Behavioral Health Consultant provides, brief, culturally relevant counseling, interventions, education, case management and crisis intervention in keeping with the core services of the First Steps/Maternity Support Services Program. The Behavioral Health Consultant will also be providing brief depression and anxiety screenings. This is a great opportunity to work with pregnant moms and babies in the communities we serve.
Must have one of the following credentials or licenses in the State of WA: Licensed mental health counselor, Licensed independent clinical social worker, Licensed social worker, Licensed marriage and family therapist, Licensed psychologist, Associate mental health counselor, Associate independent clinical social worker, Associate social worker, Associate marriage and family therapist, Certified counselor, Substance use disorder professional.
- Must have understanding and respect for cultural differences as well as diverse kind of families
- Provide psychological assessment, counseling, and education to pregnant/postpartum clients
- Complete screens for depression with postpartum clients
- Provide counseling in such areas as grief and loss, postpartum depression, parenting, sexual abuse, domestic violence, etc.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
