A Materials Handler:

• Performs shipping/receiving of products and materials utilizing available tools (i.e. cranes forklift, dollies, and hand trucks).
• Gathers, packages, crates products and materials in preparation for shipping, unloading / loading of materials and delivers to the appropriate department in the plant or plant locations.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Requisition, track and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands and maintain inventory of stock.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic computer skills
• Data entry experience or ability to demonstrate typing accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Experience operating forklift, crane, air and hand tools.

Preferred

• Minimum (1) year experience in manufacturingexperience in shipping and or receiving
• Ability to read blueprints
