CACI is seeking a Material Coordinator to provide Inventory Management of specialized parts and equipment for projects associated with Packaging, Handling, Shipping, Transportation (PHST) of ordnance at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. This position will require inspection and receipt of equipment; perform research to keep accurate details; and shipments of equipment to support our PHST customers and their DoD projects.


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Provide support for engineering projects, including Standard Missile (SM) efforts at the PHST Center. Activities include:

  • Creating and/or reviewing estimates and schedules.

  • Interfacing with internal PHST Codes, to ensure project resources are adequate to support tasks. Assist Project Lead in gathering necessary resources to complete project objectives.

  • Attend meetings, answer phone calls, and e-mails for the Project Lead.

  • Keep official inventory with in-person, hands-on inspection of the Ordnance Information System (OIS) tracked materials. This involves inspection of items to ascertain applicable Condition Code, Defect Code, Serial Number verification and tracking, reporting of quantities, and recording accurate storage location details.

  • Support Project Lead in shipping of materials by inspecting Outbound and Inbound equipment.

  • Maintains and develops new incoming and outgoing shipment processes, procedures and assists with implementation of process improvements.

  • Monitors maintenance due dates and analyzes data to anticipate future test and logistic needs.

  • Update and maintain inventory records for incoming and outgoing shipments regularly to share with Management and other Stakeholders.

  • Report discrepancies in equipment inventory as they arise.

  • Initiate, and track orders for repair parts as needed.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Active DoD Secret Security clearance (or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance)

  • Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining focus on research objectives defined by the customer.

  • Introductory understanding of how to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, both existing drawings and newly drafted ones.

  • Introductory understanding of Microsoft products: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Point, and network folders to maintain schedule, and organize files and data.

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as repair manuals, usage manuals, requirements documentation, and specifications.

  • Ability to inspect equipment to ensure it operates as intended and be able to identify defects and other areas which require repair or refurbishment.

  • Ability to gather relevant drawings and technical documentation to support Contracting Specialist to aide in development of quotes.

  • Minimum of High School diploma and 2 to 4 years of related experience


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Previous DoD experience with OIS database and familiarity with ordnance handling equipment.
