The Marketing Review Manager will conduct brand review for materials related to a brand transition for American Express Global Business. These reviews will be conducted in partnership with stakeholders from legal, compliance, brand, and the Amex GBT team. They will support the marketing review team and act as a conduit between the brand refresh project and brand governance team.
This role requires the quick mastery of Amex GBT’s marketing, compliance, and legal guidelines in relation to the brand and what has changed recently, as well as the ability to apply them consistently across marketing, communications, and branded platforms. Ideally this person will become a subject matter expert of the marketing review process and relevant guidelines, providing guidance to the project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn the various guidelines related to the Amex GBT brand and understand how they should be applied across marketing materials.
- Work very closely with the project manager for the brand transition to maintain alignment on the project and manage timelines.
- Conduct marketing review for materials related to the Amex GBT brand transition in accordance with marketing, compliance, and legal brand guidelines.
- Perform a quality review of material as part of the review process: general proofreading, visual identity adherence, etc. and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Determine risk level of material based on the guidelines and approve or escalate accordingly.
- Communicate changes or edits that need to be made to the materials and establish a secondary review process if needed.
- Manage the escalation process if materials need to go to other areas of the business for review and approval.
- Act as a champion and steward of our brand and ensure the regulatory requirements are met to protect the brand.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a marketing, brand, or creative role requiring adherence to brand, visual identity, and regulatory guidelines.
- Understanding of marketing or brand compliance related regulations.
- Comfort managing stakeholders across various levels of an organization.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills, design skills a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Workfront, or other project management software preferred.
Location
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
