Surgical Marketing, part of the technology division within KARL STORZ, is seeking a Marketing Manager, Service - Surgical to help innovate new service, contract and subscription-based offers for our customers. Responsibilities will range from helping mature existing service offerings to building completely new offers that help our customers navigate a world of limited capital and fast-moving technologies. Overall, this role will be responsible for establishing, enhancing, modifying, launching & marketing Service programs for the Surgical Product Portfolio.

Responsibilities

Success in this role will require deploying strategies that create value for our customers across the Surgical portfolio, including Video Imaging, endoscopes and instrumentation. The ability to work collaboratively across the organization in order to build the right strategies and programs, while measuring their results, will be key for success.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Video Imaging Portfolio – lead the collaboration between Enterprise Service, Video Marketing, Sales & Revenue Operations to establish, enhance, modify, etc pilots & programs for contract service programs on the Video portfolio. Coordinate with Enterprise Service Marketing to establish collateral. Communicate with and launch to sales organization. Own the Specialty service KPIs.

Surgical Endoscope Portfolio – lead the collaboration between Enterprise Service, Surgical Marketing, Sales & Revenue Operations to establish pilots & programs for contract service programs on the Surgical Endoscope portfolio (Rigid endoscopes, Video endoscopes, etc.). Coordinate with Enterprise Service Marketing to establish collateral. Communicate with and launch to sales organization. Own the Specialty service KPIs.

Surgical Instrument Portfolio – lead the collaboration between contract Enterprise Service, Surgical Marketing, Sales & Revenue Operations to establish pilots & programs for service programs on the Surgical Instrument portfolio (LAP instruments, Ortho instruments, etc.). Coordinate with Service Marketing to establish collateral. Communicate with and launch to sales organization. Own the Specialty service KPIs.

Preventative Maintenance – Own the information around inspection, care and handling & preventative maintenance procedures & protocol across the Surgical/Video portfolio. Develop process, content & train as necessary. Work with the Enterprise Service team to educate & update on process and best practices for Preventative Maintenance checks. Coordinate with Enterprise service team to understand service organization goals and compensation programs to track & monitor success against mutually agreed upon KPIs.

New Value-Added Service Solutions – Be the US point person for global coordination around Video and Unit device networkability (KS-HIVE). Lead the effort in marketing and selling this connectivity, remote service, analytics, etc. as a service. Create strategy, marketing, messaging and work with Revenue Operations on pricing models and the OR1 organization on how to operationalize. Manage ALPHA & BETA site installations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of medical sales and/or marketing experience
  • Experience working with Third-party manufacturers/Agencies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Marketing Principles, concepts, and methodologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in market research and sales forecasting principles and methodologies
  • Excellence in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills along with presentation skills
  • Ability for up to 25% travel during the year
  • Research and understanding of customer needs, competitive insights and evolving trends
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills within our US-based organization and globally
  • Critical thinking
  • Creativity

Preferences:

  • Sales or Marketing experience of capital Medical Devices
  • Proven experience with technical equipment and/or surgical instrument portfolios
  • Proven experience marketing software and value-adds as a service
  • Proven experience with SAP
  • Advanced presentation/content development
  • Advanced excel analytics
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
