This position will develop the strategy, roadmap, launch, and growth plans for our portfolio business and will execute on approved plans to meet AOP and objectives set forth. This position will support the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operating Unit (OU) in advancing our capability to disrupt and lead the electrophysiology market. This position reports into the Vice President, CAS OU Global Marketing and Business Strategy.

A Day in the Life
Commercial:
- Leads global launch planning, execution, and commercialization of assigned CAS new products. Execute and establish launch excellence, including defining value proposition, segmentation, targeting, positioning, pricing, and messaging, for new products
- Identify and assess market opportunities and customer needs to enrich the CAS portfolio
- Leverages design thinking practices to create new business models and customer-centric approaches
- Translates data and analytics into commercialization strategies, including global Go-To-Market plan for; provides input into scope definition to ensure commercial success
- Mobilize, engage, and lead organizational resources to launch and commercialize products effective. Understands and shapes contractual strategy to ensure desired results and resolve issues effectively
- Delivers consistent baseline revenue growth for CAS business; maximizes financial performance and P&L
- Develops and manages key partnerships with KOLs and other companies to support assigned product portfolio globally to meet the short-term and long-term goals of the business
Strategy:
- Develops and communicates a sound and compelling business case advance the portfolio.
- Make recommendations to drive effective decisions regarding investments and business development opportunities (e.g. distribution or strategic partnership both internal and external) through CAS PSB and OU president
- Establishes collaborative business routines and relationship with matrix partners across functions and Operating Units
- Provide significant leadership in all areas of portfolio innovation - from need identification, gap assessment, customer insight, new product/service development pipeline, market segmentation, technology assessment, solution positioning, KOL engagement, and Business development
- Develop 5- and 10-year growth plan and strategies for the portfolio for all elements of the business and targeted markets
- Collaborates to define the product roadmap to support CAS therapeutic product portfolio; Provide strategic business input to influence selection and prioritization of R&D projects .
- Develops regulatory strategies in partnership with Regulatory leadership
- Engages internal or external partners or consultants to help address operational strategies, issues or efficiencies (e.g. Reimbursement challenges, Capital value chain)
- Establishes and implements internal and external service level agreements to monitor and measure the business performance of CAS portfolio
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 10+ years of experience (8+years with an advanced degree) in any of the following: sales, marketing, commercial leadership or technical in the cardiac space
- 6+ years of managerial experience (people or programs)
- Demonstrated executive leadership experience
- Product launch experience in the medical device industry.
Nice to Have
- Life sciences industry experience- knowledge of cardiac mapping and navigation experience
- Advanced degree such as MBA
- 2+ years of cardiac mapping and navigation and/or electrophysiology
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Proven analytical skills working with clinical or research data
- Act as both player and a coach. Willing to roll up the sleeves.
- Strong “influence management” skill set demonstrated in both the healthcare delivery and corporate environment
- Demonstrated success in effectively managing teams, executing on projects, and communicating expectations
- Demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively in a diverse, global, matrixed organization
- Knowledgeable of U.S. Food and Drug Law and regulatory
- Experience interacting with FDA or other regulatory agencies
- Launched disruptive technologies in the healthcare industry
- Startup experience

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive plan, which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. Learn more about Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP) here .
The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
