Marketing Content Specialist (Documentation and Process) Job at Cambium Learning Group
Job Overview:
As a Marketing Content Specialist, you will be focused on developing product documentation and content that is compelling and beneficial to our K-12 educators and our internal teams. You will work collaboratively across marketing, sales, engineering, product management, customer success, and technical support to help develop and maintain supporting resources for our suite of K-12 STEM products.
The ideal candidate will bring experience documenting the working of technical products, writing for a knowledgeable audience, and will be able to synthesize disparate sources of information and distill complex matter into easily understandable concepts and easy-to-use information for a variety of K-12 teachers and administrators, as well as across Explore Learning teams.
Job Responsibilities:

Creating long and short form technical product content that speaks to all audiences, whether highly knowledgeable or just starting their search for education technology products

Creating documentation that provides potential customers the ability to make an informative assessment of ExploreLearning products

Understanding and knowing the ‘why’ behind ExploreLearning products to bridge technical functionality and everyday use for users

Interview and collaborate with development staff ranging from product developers, engineers, and professional learning executives for more information around product specific details to share with administrator and teachers

Create marketing content including persuasive and argumentative materials (including some mediums but not limited to): white papers, proposals, bids, research, manuals, help guides, emails, product support documents, case studies, thought leadership articles, press releases, presentations. Key duties include:

Ability to tell the story of the products from initial assessment to success in the program

Develop content to persuasively speak to challenges faced by potential customers in a clear and concise way

Help develop content marketing deliverables and sales tools such as proposals, emails, fliers, landing pages, content articles, and more

Write, edit, proof, and collaborate with the ExploreLearning creative team to produce web and print collateral

Copy edit materials for the marketing department
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher
-
2+ years proven experience creating and editing technical content for publication (product help guides, case studies or other forms of communications)

Excellent writing in a straightforward style and editing skills

Self-motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving capabilities

Experience working within a collaborative and cross-functional team environment

A curious nature and want to understand the why and how behind how things work

A dynamic problem-solver focused on quality and responsiveness
