Position title: Marketing Communications Coordinator
Reports to: Development Manager
SUMMARY
Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles seeks a Marketing Communications Coordinator to help us tell our story, develop and promote our brand. In this position, you will oversee the creation of marketing materials that deliver a clear brand message. You will assist in the planning of promotional events, community engagement, and outreach campaigns. As part of this role, you will track engagement on our social media networks in order to suggest improvements to our overall marketing strategy. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management skills, organizational skills, creative skills, website knowledge, and graphic design—to carry out the following responsibilities:
· Benchmark marketing trends in non-profit organizations and develop a marketing communications plan to create awareness and generate excitement about the Habitat, St. Charles brand.
· Collaborate with Marketing Committee to develop a clear brand message.
· Increase and maintain targeted social media postings.
· Partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to promote volunteer opportunities through print and electronic mediums.
· Collaborate with Marketing Committee to create marketing materials (images, designs, and copy for billboards, T-Shirts, events, flyers, and brochures).
· Maintain our promotional and content publication calendars across multiple channels.
· Manage social media accounts and track engagement.
· Keep up with the timeline set for the release of content across all channels.
· Oversee and maintain website layout, content, and copy.
· Identify fresh ways to highlight volunteer efforts at the construction site and ReStore.
· Participate in exhibits, fairs, workshops, promotions, and conferences to promote community awareness.
· Assist with promotional event planning.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media relations, business administration, or a relevant field
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Experience with ADOBE and Canva
· Event planning experience a plus
· Industry experience a plus
