Rousselot is the world's leading producer of gelatin and is a recognized partner in the pharmaceutical and food industries.

The Peabody facility has openings for a Manufacturing Stock Prep Trainee (Night Shift). This role is responsible for the acidulation, liming and/or phosphate process and operating production equipment in the Stock Prep department with growth opportunities in different areas.

Job Duties:

• Load and offload trucks, and/or railcars as required (i.e. HCL Acid trucks, Phosphate, Lime, etc.)
• Respond to process upsets and alarms appropriately
• Responsible for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in appropriate Stock Prep areas
• Moves bone from the front to the back of bins when bone is being loaded
• Tests acid and records data electronically
• Loads vats with bovine bone
• Receives osseine from Acidulation and monitors grease removal operation
• Pumps osseine into lime pits for neutralization
• Performs drain and fills to accomplish lime changes
• Monitors lime makeup process
• Maintains flow of process (i.e. precipitators, Dorr clarifiers, slurry tanks, centrifuges, dryers) to keep pace with flows in acidulation
• Cleans static mixers

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• The Rousselot plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• 12-hour shift with expectation of overtime as needed. (6:00pm-6:15am)
• Work Schedule 3 DAYS ON / 3 DAYS OFF
• Due to the 24/7 nature of the plant, work on weekends and holidays are requirements of the position
• Ability to initially train on day shift

Requirements:

• Dependable and on time for all shifts
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Quality mindset
• Safety as first priority
• Attention to detail
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing a plus
• Fork Lift experience or Hoisting license is given special consideration
