Job Summary

Located in Wapakoneta Ohio, G.A. Wintzer and Son Co. is a very stable, growing, family owned and operated recycling company that has operated for 6 generations. We have been in business since 1848 with 170+ years’ experience in diverting reusable energy and animal feed ingridents away from landfills and turning them into usable products.

You are NOT required to have a CDL to become a Wintzer Team member. Once employed, we will provide the necessary training, in house, for you to obtain a Class "A" CDL.

Plant operators learn all positions and once trained are on a rotation of all the different postions at the plant. Each day is different and positions range from unloading trucks, to operating cookers and dryers, filtering/ blending and refining oil products, boiler operator, finished product truck loading, maintenance, crane/ forklift and man lift/sky lift operators and WWTP operators.

An Operator will be expected to be available to work within the following schedule parameters:

• The Plant Operator position are for evening shift, starting time are 4 pm. to 12 am.
• 8 hour shifts
• 1 to 2 Saturdays per month as needed

Experience/Certification required 3 years of general work experience (preferred)

• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Pass a Drug Screening
• Good positive work ethic
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL

Education Level

High School or equivalent

Beginner/ mid level

Salary and Benefits

Starting $56,000 per year, with annual raises, bonus and OT up to $70,000 (after 1.5 years)
