This position pays $80,000 - $95,000.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer II. The Manufacturing Engineer II will have a passion to continually improve manufacturing processes with automation and technology. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, with an innovative mind, and has proven experience in taking a project from concept to successful execution independently or through collaborative teamwork. The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for leading projects, developing and improving manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, design, implement and troubleshoot for successful project execution, independently or through collaborative teamwork
  • Lead and facilitate kaizen activities engaging cross-functional groups to achieve shared outcomes. Use lean tools, communication skills and leadership abilities to meet goals.
  • Develop, build/guide, test and deploy complex, multi part and or tightly tolerance fixture design.
  • Work with team members and leadership to optimize process center layouts and designs incorporating material flow and line balancing.
  • Act as an FMEA leader for basic processes and participates in complex/advanced process improvement.
  • Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project from concept to implementation.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with Solid Works, Fusion, AutoCAD, MS Office, MRP, and PLM.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and tools used in manufacturing and ability to train the principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement, problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making in emotional, difficult, and stressful situations.
