Reports to: Location Manager
Description: Assists location management with the supervision of seasonal personnel and the overall operation of the location. Assist in promoting and providing products and services, which will ensure profitable farming operations and satisfy member needs while enhancing the cooperative’s goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the weighing, grading, and receiving of grain (including unloading and elevation).
- Learn to settle customer inbound/outbound grain, work with Grain Department on different grain contracts utilized.
- Responsible for the grain inventory, quality management. Maintain communication with all persons involved.
- Have an understanding of all bin or storage locations and maintain records of grain inventory in each (i.e., wet/dry corn, wet/dry beans).
- Develop an understanding and ability to blend grain to optimal grade factors for truck loadouts at correct weight.
- Provide grain facilities maintenance and repairs, follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Utilization of computer programs within the location including: MOCA, Dekra, UKG, M files, Control, etc.
- Responsible for the housekeeping and cleaning duties of location facilities.
Job/Position Requirements
- 1 – 3 years agribusiness experience
- Understand the importance of providing very high levels of customer service
- Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
- Must have good computer skills
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must have problem-solving skills as well as be self-motivated
- Basic accounting skills for work with inventory and billing
- Acceptable driving record
