FULL-TIME CAREER OPPORTUNITY – MANAGER, PARISH BASED SENIOR WELLNESS AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS

VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services of the Diocese of Camden is a network of home, community, and parish-based healthcare related programs and services designed for the elderly and persons with disabilities, providing advocacy, support, care coordination, information, spiritual well-being and access to care. Services include Parish Nursing, Stephen Ministry, Care Coordination and Consultation, Hospital Chaplaincy, Parish Senior Ministries, and Ministry for the Deaf. These services are provided freely and compassionately to all people of South Jersey in need, regardless of their religious affiliation.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced individual to serve as a liaison between VITALity Catholic Healthcare Services and the local parishes to advocate for senior needs and identify gaps in care that can be filled by diocesan healthcare services. This role works collaboratively with Pastors and parish staff to develop and design innovative services for the health and wellbeing of the senior population within the parishes, and works with pastors to develop Parish Senior Social Day Centers within counties and deaneries according to geographic and demographic needs resultant from ongoing analysis regularly conducted. Together with VITALity leadership, this position develops healthy living materials to interested parish groups.

Qualifications for this position require a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Work or other health related fields. Demonstrated skills in planning and organizing programs and events, most importantly in the area of senior healthcare and previous experience in faith-based, parish activity are also requirements.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will possess a professional demeanor, be creative and open to possibilities with program development and improving care processes and have the ability to prioritize varied responsibilities. The individual should also exhibit a positive attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a variant of community partners.
