General Description of the Position

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for International Affairs, the incumbent will provide administrative support on behalf of the Office of International Affairs. Services may include, but are not limited to recruitment, providing administrative support in the development of new MOUs, coordination of student support activities for new and existing international programs.

Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Assists the Associate Vice President for International Affairs with all required data reporting
  • Manages the admissions and enrollment processes for international students including recruitment, evaluation of transcripts, supplemental documents, academic advising, maintenance of data on enrollment.
  • Assists International students with issues regarding their living/ learning environment.
  • Travels overseas as needed to assist study abroad programs and joint degree programs
  • Draft routine correspondences and documents related to joint programs.
  • Collect and analyze data related to the joint programs for analysis reports as assigned.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Office of International Affairs and the academic unit s where ongoing joint programs reside.
  • Organizes events and activities that occur during regular, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Experience in composing various levels of correspondence.
  • Experience in the use of word processing and computers, Microsoft word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge and usage of basic gram mar and sentence structure.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Qualification Standards

  • Education Requirement: Master's degree
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in an ethical manner.
  • Ability to work with diverse student population s.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritize duties, and multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and make routine decisions.
  • Ability to comply with federal, state and University regulations and requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency with BANNER modules
  • Knowledgeable of enrollment processes
  • Excellent oral and written skills in one or more foreign languages.
  • International living experience preferred.
  • Excellent driving record.
