Manager, Merchandise Operations Job at Serena & Lily
Serena and Lily is seeking a Manager of Merchandise Operations to join our team. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a merchandise operations in the brand. You will work with the cross functional teams to develop the processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices to build the merchandise operation foundation. You must be meticulous in detail and accuracy, be able to develop a deep knowledge of the systems and how they interact, and be the leader of data integrity and consistency in the business. You must possess strong communication skills to document procedures and share those with cross functional teams. You, with your analyst team, will oversee the company’s SKU setup process and all ongoing SKU maintenance to ensure accurate and complete data is loaded into the systems. You will gather, analyze, and organize large amounts of complex data to improve the merchandise operations processes. You will collaborate with partners in merchandising, planning, sourcing, IT, supply chain, distribution center and finance to maximize efficiency and accuracy of data in the business.
This role is eligible to be a hybrid or fully remote candidate with the exception of some necessary on-site training in Sausalito, CA.
Job Duties:
- Lead the initiative for data integrity and consistency.
- Develop standard operating procedures for all SKU related processes.
- Initial SKU setup.
- Ongoing SKU maintenance.
- Trouble shooting SKU related system issues.
- Organization and entry of data into multiple systems.
- Develop a deep understanding of all related systems and the flow of data among systems.
- Collaborate with various cross functional teams to ensure data is collected accurately and completely.
- Train new team members on how to accurately collect and input data.
- Verify the accuracy and consistency of data prior to uploading into systems.
- Support analyst in responsibilities and development.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated leader who can gather and organize large amounts of information to develop a best practice for this new organization.
- Prior experience in a closely related merchandise operations role.
- Ability to manage competing priorities from various teams needing quick turnarounds.
- Excellent data & analytical skills with a strong focus on detail.
- Highly proficient in excel with the ability to manage and manipulate large data files.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a cooperative team environment that promotes high performance standards and attainment of goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with netsuite is a plus.
Compensation:
- $95-125K depending on experience

Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue twenty days of PTO and seven paid holidays throughout the year.
