In order to protect our employees and continue to provide safe and reliable service to our communities, as of November 14, 2021 we are requiring all new MTA hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. MTA will consider exceptions for religious and medical reasons, where appropriate. “Fully vaccinated” means you must have both doses of a 2-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the second dose, or have received 1 dose of a 1-dose vaccine and two weeks have elapsed since the dose. Proof of your vaccination status in the form of a CDC vaccine card must be submitted prior to your start date.
Summary
This position will assist the Deputy Vice President, Planning and Administration in high level administrative and analytical functions in the areas of the administration, budget planning, and business planning and development functions for the Maintenance, Support and Engineering (MSE) Division. The incumbent coordinates and supports all aspects of the five subdivisions with MSE including overtime tracking, job number usage, monitoring the function of timekeeping and other information systems. This position also monitors internal control processes, recommends, and implements corrective actions and tracks high-visibility projects.
Rate of Pay
$77,463 - $114,945 (Grade F – 479 hay points)
Responsibilities

Handles related employee issues with Human Resources and Labor Relations.

Acts as division liaison for Internal control audits, timekeeping, labor relations, human resources.

Conducts inspections in regard to office safety.

Performs administrative functions such as Division Training and FMLA Liaison, cell phone assignments, laptops, and camera equipment inventory.

Supervise staff in all functions.
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related field;

6 years of full-time related experience including 3 years in a managerial, supervisory, administrative capacity; or

Satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and successful experience.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of NYCT and DOB administrative and operating Rules & Regulations and Policies & Procedures.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and supervisory skills.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or comparable applications.
As an employee of NYCT or MABSTOA you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $105,472 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.
