Manager EHR Training Job at El Rio Community Health Center
The EHR Training Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of EPIC education for the core functions of the clinical applications and programs to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. The position combines managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise. The Manager is responsible for the appropriate staff, staff management, planning, execution, and oversight for end user training, as well as taking a collaborative role in application change management.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Health Care, IT or a related field from an approved and accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years’ experience with the evaluation, implementation, operation, and training associated with electronic health record (EHR) systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years of supervisory or management experience in a technical or health care setting is required. To meet this requirement, candidate will have had experience in taking a lead role in managing projects for clinical application changes, training, and implementation or supervision of staff.
If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
- Epic certification
- Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must be in compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
Epic certification upon hire or for candidates who meet minimum qualifications but are not yet Epic certified, the candidate has six (6) months to complete EPIC certification.
Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities:
- Certification in a leadership program
- Certifications for completing training and exams from an EHR vendor such as NextGen, Greenway, Epic, or EClinicalWorks
- Master’s Degree in Education, Business, Health Care, IT or a related field from an approved and accredited college or university.
- Seven (7) years’ experience with the evaluation, implementation, operation, and training associated with electronic health record systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Seven (7) years of supervisory or management experience in a technical or health care setting is required. To meet this requirement, candidate will have had experience in taking a lead role in managing projects for clinical application changes, training, and implementation or supervision of staff.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages

Pay: $38.26 - $55.41 per hour
