Directly manages a group of employees that provide support for Bank Operations (Deposit Operations, Card Services, Cash Management, Loan Servicing, and other Bank Products) through fulfillment of a variety of Banking functions that help the business meet set goals and objectives. Proactively identifies, develops, recommends, and implements improvements to products, processes, and delivery of service. Organizes and leads the execution of operational and strategic business plans.

The actual onsite days are settled between each employee and the employee’s manager. Candidates are encouraged to live a commutable distance from one of our offices in San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. This position also has the option to be remote.
Job Requirements
Identifies and manages existing and emerging risks that stem from business activities and the job role.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled.
Follows written risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures for business activities.
Manages day to day transaction processing and/or servicing to achieve efficiency by managing workload volumes within service level objectives and identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
Maintains knowledge of relevant Banking regulatory environment to ensure compliance across area of responsibility.
Responsible for developing, presenting, and training of new and revised policies and procedures that enable team members to meet functional goals and objectives and provide excellent member experience.
Serves as subject matter expert and partners with other areas within Bank other Bank areas and external entities to assist in changing or implementing projects or programs that drive efficiencies.
Partners with technology and operations to complete the product roadmap, by leading business requirements gathering, system design reviews, end user testing, and implementation activities.
Seeks opportunities to improve operational efficiency and performance standards to ensure that operations are efficient in terms of resources.
Coordinates sophisticated operational issues and/or resolution of member escalations.
Builds and manages a hard-working team of professionals by staffing, training, mentoring, developing, and managing performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of related experience in bank operations to include end to end processes for retail banking products such as credit, consumer loans, payments, and settlements.
2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
Experience in program/project management, process improvement, or business analysis.
Strong knowledge in Banking regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Information Security Program, Reg E, Reg CC, and Reg D.
Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable guidance to include: OCC Heightened Standards, REG E, UDAAP/UDAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner (optional)
4 years of experience with furnishing requirements set forth within the Credit Reporting Resource Guide (CRRG)
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) – Data Furnishing certification preferred

Compensation:
USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $78,670 - $141,570 .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
