Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will perform maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee General Maintenance, ensuring short- and long-term projects are being done in a timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and recommending performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.

· Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

· Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

· Pool and hot tub maintenance and monitoring.

· Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, repairing doors, boiler and other building fixtures.

· Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

· Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.

· Maintains inventory of supplies

· Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Assist in driving the shuttle to and from the airport

· Works with General Manager to plan and coordinate project and hotel maintenance needs

· Oversees maintenance employee’s day to day tasks as well as long term projects

· Trains new maintenance employees

· Guides existing employees on project needs, on the job training

Qualifications and Key Skillsets:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Must have previous maintenance experience

· Ability instruct and oversee maintenance workers.

· Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.

· Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Drivers license with clean driving record

· Able to work nights and weekends

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods standing and walking.

· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
