Position Overview:


Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will be a key member of the Operations team for our Puratos Chocolate USA location in Kenosha, WI.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with production and quality teams to keep production going
  • Resource for helping engineering team execute projects throughout plant
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment.
  • Operation, troubleshoot, and repair of Steam, Refrigeration, and Wastewater systems
  • Perform equipment repairs in a timely manner
  • Fabrication of components, tools and equipment
  • Capable of performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting including control systems
  • Execute PM work as directed by maintenance supervisor and lead. Work in a self-sufficient manner; complete PM work without production interruption
  • Direct actions as necessary to ensure safety
  • Operate the boiler
  • CMMS- Work order entry, completion, requisition, inventory
  • Utilize SAP for completing Purchase requisitions

Qualifications:

  • Must be prepared to learn about new and existing processing systems
  • Food Manufacturing and GMP Environment Experience desired
  • Experience working on and around Sanitary Systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment working with pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps
  • Ability to work on electrical systems is a plus, including motors, drives, PLC’s, temperature, flow and other control instruments and devices
  • Capable of fabricating components, tools, and equipment
  • Capable of operating fork trucks, lifts, etc
  • Stainless Steel and Sanitary Welding skills is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working at elevated heights
