The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to established safety requirements, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support plant’s business goals and objectives.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following -

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform require maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Be familiar with PLC’s structure and functions.
• Understand and read ladder diagram.
• Understand and read mechanical engineering drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Understand, read and use electrical schematic for equipment troubleshooting purposes.

Equipment used -

Arc welder, wire feed welder, metal cutting band saw, wood cutting ban saw, belt sander, drill press, hydraulic press, bench mount grinders, air operated hand drills, grinders, impact wrenches, chisels, electric hand tools such as: drills, circular saw, grinders, mag base drill, impact wrenches, scissor lift and variety of hand tools.

Qualifications -

• > 5 years of maintenance experience preferred, but not required
• Must read and write English
• Basic math skills required, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must be very familiar with both metric and English measuring system, must be able to read a ruler
