As the Maintenance Technician with Liberty Packaging-Fort Worth, you will assist in the ongoing repair and maintenance of corrugated machinery.

This full-time position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Fort Worth, Texas.


Required Skills


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trouble shoot programmable controllers, A/C and D/C Drives, control systems, pneumatic and electrical systems up to 480/3/60
  • Perform routine general maintenance according to a preventative maintenance schedule to maximize machine utilization
  • Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs are performed in a timely manner\
  • Identify and perform equipment improvements and upgrade
  • Ensure equipment has proper settings and makes adjustments when necessary for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products
  • Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas
  • Participate on cross-functional continuous improvement teams

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment (preferably corrugated manufacturing)
  • Ability to read and follow instruction manuals
  • Intermediate math skills to be able to calculate measurements
  • Familiar with computerized maintenance tracking systems
  • Prefer experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems including ISO-9001

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6+ hours per shift
