About the Energy & Maintenance Programs…
Since the inception of the Community Action Committee of Pike County in 1966, the Energy and Maintenance department has been providing top quality service to the residents of Pike County and the employees of CAC. The Energy division has several programs that can provide eligible Pike county residents with assistance to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes and reduce their energy costs. The Maintenance division is dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of appearance, functionality, and cleanliness at all of the facilities The Community Action Committee of Pike County operates in multiple counties. Some of the facilities served by our Maintenance program are the Main agency building in Piketon, the Pike County Senior Center, the CATS building, and all of the Valley View Health Center locations. The Energy and Maintenance department is able to excel through the collaboration and hard work of team members on a daily basis to improve the well-being and independence of those we serve.

Position Impact and Purpose…*
A Maintenance Technician at Community Action Committee of Pike County will work diligently to keep a neat and pleasant environment at our facilities. They will maintain all facilities in line with the high standards set by the agency under supervision of the Housekeeping & Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Functions…
Functional Area:
Provide maintenance services for the organization
Estimated Effort: 95%

Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations*
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Proof of automobile insurance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
- Handle biohazard materials and be willing to be inoculated for Hepatitis and be tested for tuberculosis.
- Must be willing to work on roofs and ladders, and in crawlspaces and attics.
- Must be willing to drive box trucks or any other assigned agency vehicle.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all agency owned and operated facilities, grounds, and equipment as assigned.
- Complete minor structural, electrical, and plumbing repairs as needed.
- Check the agency Helpdesk system to ensure that agency needs are addressed in a timely manner.
- Maintain daily work record per established procedure.
- Perform janitorial/housekeeping services as needed during scheduled work hours.
- Move or relocate agency property, supplies, or equipment as requested.
- Perform grounds maintenance at agency properties as assigned by supervisor.
- Supervise summer youth workers as assigned by supervisor.
- Adhere to all agency Safety Policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements…*
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Job-Related Experience:
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
2-years janitorial related work, building maintenance or housekeeping experience.
People Management Experience:
Friendly, professional and courteous demeanor.
Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations:
Have or will obtain within 12 months OSHA 10 or OSHA 30-hour training certification.

Preferred Qualifications…*
- 5 years’ experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC.
Working Conditions…
- Office/clinical setting
- Outdoor work for extended periods in various weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Work at multiple sites in any given day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.16 per hour
