Off Shift -
  • 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM - $0.40 shift premium
  • 3rd shift 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM - $0.70 shift premium

Job Description Summary:
Repair and maintain all machines and equipment in the PLE department to ensure safety, quality, and productivity

Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment to ensure maximum up time on all machines. Manages spare parts inventory, must be organized with a list documenting what is on hand and where it is located.
  • Supports corporate goals and maintain a safe work environment to assure there are no lost time accidents in the Maintenance department.
  • Works with Maintenance supervisors, Operations, Quality, Engineering or other employees to identify and resolve issues and problems to assure assets are maintained and available for production schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides resources to assist in training and development of training guidelines. Must be willing and able to work all shifts as maintenance needs dictate.
  • Maintain area compliant with government food handling and worker safety standards
  • Maintain good communications with other departments and management staff
  • Maintain a well organized and clean work area and equipment
  • Fill out work orders and checklist and keep in an organized binder in the maintenance area.
  • Assist at achieving daily production schedule
  • Keep tool boxes and tools cleaned and organized
  • Work with other departments and support building wide maintenance projects as needed
  • Perform daily checks on the equipment during production to verify cap location and glue quality
  • Perform daily checks to verify box forming and glue shot location
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to identify opportunities for quality and production improvements
Requirements:
  • Able to climb ladders and certified to use the man lift
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Bending, reaching, and working on the floor is required at times
  • Must be able to operate forklift=
