Responsibilities & Requirements:
Responsibilities:
  • General knowledge hand and power tools
  • Prefer General Carpentry Work (IE hanging pictures, replacing ceiling tile, fixing cabinets, etc.)
  • Prefer General Locksmith (IE door inspections, cutting keys, rekeying lock cylinders, etc.)
  • Prefer Electronics knowledge to troubleshoot automatic door opener issues.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications:
Job Summary
  • Repair and maintenance of building components and/or systems, in inventory as directed by the coordinator.
  • This includes painting, equipment repair, filter replacements, light bulb changing, PM on equipment defined in P.E. program along with setting up tables and chairs for events and snow & site work.
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends when needed.
  • Assist in construction projects where required
  • Also includes other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
  • High School diploma, or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, Electronic, or Plumbing experience preferred
  • Experience in general maintenance work desired, preferably hospital maintenance.

Skills/Other
  • Advance knowledge of basic tools requiring dexterity, hand eye coordination and visual coordination
  • 2-3 years’ experience in commercial/residential maintenance
  • PC skills (Word, Excel) required
  • Knowledge of building components, institutional maintenance and repair practices.
  • Knowledge of how to work safely
  • In good health with adequate strength and endurance to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Willing to be trained in any of the categories of maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of the use of hand and power tools and test equipment used in maintenance.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
