Maintenance Manager Job at AgReserves, Inc.
River Point Farms is seeking a proactive and goal-oriented Maintenance Manager to join our Plant leadership team. The Maintenance Manager oversees and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department with a focus on ensuring operational readiness at our onion processing plant.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, mentor, and coach a high performing team of up to 12.
- Build and sustain employee engagement by creating a culture of efficient execution and an environment in which individuals and team can excel and continuously improve the culture and processes.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis on chronic issues; initiate corrective actions to equipment design and work practices.
- Become the subject matter expert on installations and troubleshooting by maintaining advanced electrical, computer and PLC systems knowledge.
- Oversee troubleshooting of electrical equipment using test equipment and circuit diagrams
- Manage the machinery and equipment including start-up, and testing, renovations, and restorations.
- Ensure electrical maintenance on all plant equipment is complete ( 480V/240V/120V power systems) and make necessary electrical repairs.
- Create and carry out compliant preventive maintenance programs in conjunction with operations and quality.
- Administer equipment changes, modifications and repairs per regulatory requirements.
- Prepare written maintenance instructions, records, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Establish and maintain strategic partner relationships with vendors.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of work product.
- Preserve, protect, and make improvements to the company’s assets and processing operations.
- Champion a world-class safety culture through on-going trainings, effective preventative maintenance programs, positive promotions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and local policies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in maintenance with progressive responsibility managing high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic principles and systems with ability to read and interpret schematics and operating manuals.
- Competency in basic math including solving algebraic equations, English-to-metric/metric-to-English conversion of numbers, and converting fractions to decimals.
- Knowledge of food safety, GMPs and related regulatory requirements a plus.
- Strong demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Proficient with MS tools and ability to learn other proprietary systems (ERP).
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role and work in a refrigerated environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including after hours and weekends. Travel to other local plant facilities.

Starting pay is generally set between minimum and midpoint for new hires or developing employees. Individual pay is adjusted as performance is demonstrated and sustained at increasingly competent levels over time. With approval, experienced employees with critical skills may be hired above this guideline.
