About Employer
We are building the $2.6 billion facilities (phase 1, 2) in Commerce, GA which is the largest economic development deal in Georgia in more than decade ago, and will generate over 3,000 jobs over the next few years.
The employer has partnered with major automakers and will produce batteries for electric vehicles that will shape the way of the future. Together, the facilities will reach a production capacity of 21.5 gigawatts, the equivalent of powering more than 400,000 vehicles.
Maintenance Planning/Management and others
- Establish and manage annual maintenance/repair plan and budget
- Request for renovation, and issue a purchase order (P/O)
- Manage maintenance/repair performance
- Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
- Activities involve using time-study or standard data for a variety of machine, assembly and hand operations, production methods, equipment layout, material handling, and manpower, equipment and material utilization in order to improve operating performance.
- Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
- Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
- Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.
- Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
- Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness.
- Train production personnel in new or existing methods.
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
- Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
- Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
- Investigate or resolve operational problems such as material use variances and bottlenecks.
- Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs.
- Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements.
- Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
- Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
- Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
- Plan and establish a sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
- Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
- Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
Investment Planning/Management
- Establish and manage annual investment plan and budget
- Review construction investment techniques
- Review equipment drawings and make simple modifications
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Research and request quotations from suppliers (equipment, tool, fixtures, purchased components, etc.)
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Facility Inspection and Technical Support
- Review/repair the production facility based on the requests received by the system
- Daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly production facility inspection
- Identify the cause of the production abnormalities and review the technology.
- Prepare the reports of abnormalities to manage the history (if needed)
Government Relations
- Respond to regular maintenance inspection in compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
Audit Preparation & Response
- Create and manage documents on construction required by PSM/ISO
- Design/order/manage construction by PSM/ISO
- Take appropriate measures to improve construction, and correct non-conformities specified by PSM/ISO
Construction Management/Supervising
- Supervise the facility construction (due to repair and extension of facility, or due to change of production line)
- Request purchase of equipment’s parts (purchase request)
- Purchase order on construction materials
Emergency Planning & Response
- Plan and execute emergency trainings on natural disasters, lack of power, and release of harmful substances
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 3~10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry
- Proficiency with Mitsubishi PLC, Siemens PLC and Allen-Bradley PLC
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar programs (drawing and revising)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
