Summary:

The Maintenance Clerk prepares and processes work orders and inspections for preventive maintenance, oiler routes and repair needed on plant equipment.


What you’ll be
contributing:


  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Prepares and initiates processing of work orders for preventive maintenance, oiler routes and repair work needed.
  • Monitors status prepares, and initiates reports of each preventative maintenance work order.
  • Records time and cost associated with completing the job on each preventative maintenance work order.
  • Maintains equipment hourly records on computer and monitors status of each work order.
  • Processes paperwork to document new and old equipment numbers and descriptions.
  • Prepares, documents and processes preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment.
  • Records and processes maintenance schedules and time sheets.
  • Prepares bottles for oil sampling and shipment to laboratory.
  • Prepares and types various maintenance reports.
  • Performs filing and computer operations.
  • Maintains and orders maintenance office supplies.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.


To succeed in this position, you will
need:


  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Education Minimum High School or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in General office practices and policies.

  • Proficient in English written, verbal communication and listening skills

  • Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently

  • Ability to operate a computer to store data and generate reports

  • Ability to works under general supervision with standard procedures, guidelines and practices

  • Ability to refer problems to supervisor.
