We are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator, to support the production team. You will produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the engineered blueprints and schematics. Location: We are in Oakland, FL, 23 minutes from Orlando.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate Trumpf brakes and other machinery used in the production process or assist other machine operators.
- Select proper tools and dies based on material thickness and type.
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
- Use measurement equipment to verify quality of work.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Operate a forklift to lift and/or move raw materials and final products.
- Consistently produce usable product that meets the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company rules, policies, and quality standards.
- Complete work priorities as assigned by supervisors.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 60 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail and focus oriented.
- Knowledge in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to solve basic math calculations.
- Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Work well with others and work as a team.
- Display and maintain enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
- Must cooperate with other associates in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience operating a press brake.
