We have an immediate opening for a bright, motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Machine Operator in our Harrisburg , PA manufacturing facility. Great opportunity to make a difference and be part of a growing family-owned company.

Job Summary

Responsible for operating Forklift and ensuring that product is packaged in a safe manner. Ensures that product being packaged meets specification of the customer.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures proper set up of tote fill. Makes sure to communicate with the team leader that totes are made to meet their needs by the entire shift.
  • Performs basic quality checks on the product. Communicates with Press operators, Maintenance, and Team Leaders as issues are detected.
  • Conducts basic cleaning in their work area to meet GMP guidelines set by Quality.
  • Responsible for performing and recording scale checks during their shift. If issues are detected they must communicate the issue with Maintenance and the team leader.
  • Informs incoming Tote-Fill operator of all changes in production and of all breaks in dryers.
  • Adheres to all sanitary, GMP, HACCP and Safety procedures and understands applicable SOP for tote fill.
  • Responsible for proper labeling of the totes with both the MAS generated label and lid information.
  • Required to be able to perform basic computer navigation and learn the Barcode printing function of MAS.
  • Required to be able to perform basic RF Gun navigation and learn the Goods put away function.
  • Assists in 2nd floor cleaning duties during shutdowns. Must learn and understand the shutdown cleaning expectations in tote fill.
  • Understands how to operate the proctor’s toasting functions. Must complete all corresponding paperwork to each process according to the SOP.
  • Responsible placing totes in the warehouse in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for inspecting the forklift prior to use.
  • Responsible for bringing into the tote fill area all packing materials required for the next shift.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous duties as directed by Team Leader or Management
  • Required to maintain scales, provide lunch relief for other tote fill operators, and create totes as needed.
  • Responsible for paperwork accuracy required within the role.
  • Responsible for reporting all safety infractions committed by themselves and others.

Essential Job Requirements

· Must have a high school diploma.

· Must be familiar with computers

· Must have forklift skills

· Must be able to work in an environment with high heat and humidity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.78 - $19.76 per hour
